Theme 1 — “I turned the keyboard on, but Convert never runs” (iPhone / iPad)
What usually happened
- UnimeType is installed, but Allow Full Access is still off; or
- Full Access is on, but AI-processing consent was never granted; or
- the globe key is still on another keyboard.
Why it feels broken
iOS Full Access is a system permission for third-party keyboards. UnimeType needs it for network-backed actions. Ordinary typing still does not send text—but without the permission, Convert / Polish / Explain cannot complete their request path.

Theme 2 — “Caps Lock does nothing” (Mac, and similar on Windows)
What usually happened
- UnimeType is not the current input source; or
- Caps Lock conversion is disabled in Settings; or
- another action is already in flight.
Why it feels broken
Desktop shortcuts are intentionally bound to the UnimeType input method. On Mac, Caps Lock maps to a Convert trigger only while UnimeType is selected. A second Convert while one is running surfaces Request in flight instead of stacking work.

Theme 3 — “Text did not change”
What usually happened
Convert returned a result that is structurally valid and identical to the request after retry. That is reported as unchanged, not as a network failure.
How to tell it apart from a real outage

What usually happened
The host app did not expose a reliable range for caret-only replacement. Some macOS hosts need an explicit selection or a typing-buffer path (WeChat, VS Code, Terminal, and others).
Important honesty
Detailed host tables are Mac-only depth. Windows and Android users should start with an explicit selection when automatic capture fails—not assume the Mac table applies.

Theme 5 — “I only typed a little more after Convert, and it ignored the earlier paragraph”
What usually happened
After a verified paragraph conversion, UnimeType may request only the newly appended suffix, with limited preceding context. That is intentional accepted-paragraph behavior, not a random skip.

Illustrative scenario — not a real named customer:
A bilingual product manager drafts on Mac: Latin first, then Convert. Caps Lock does nothing—UnimeType was not selected. After switching input source, Convert runs but WeChat inserts a duplicate line—selection was empty. They select the sentence, Convert succeeds. Later they append one more phrase; Convert only touches the suffix. None of these steps are exotic; they map one-to-one onto the status and scope docs.
