Why nothing popped up and my text stayed unchanged
UnimeType stays quiet (without popping up an error banner) in two normal cases:
When the input field is empty, focus is inside a password or read-only field, or you moved the cursor in a terminal/IDE so the typing buffer was cleared, Convert exits silently. Type a new phrase continuously or highlight the existing text first.
Similarly, if your input is already clean English or already in your target script, Convert leaves the text as is. If you expected a language to convert, check that it is enabled in Input languages.
Platform-specific fixes
iPhone and iPad: Keyboard appears, but Convert / Polish / Explain does nothing
- Open iOS Settings › General › Keyboard › Keyboards › UnimeType and verify Allow Full Access is turned On.
- Open the UnimeType app, confirm AI processing consent is accepted, and tap Test Connection under AI Service.
Mac / Windows / Linux: Pressing Caps Lock toggles uppercase or switches input sources instead of running Convert
- Check your system menu bar or taskbar to confirm UnimeType is the active input method (not the default US keyboard).
- On Mac: Open System Settings › Keyboard › Text Input › Input Sources › Edit… › All Input Sources and turn off "Use the Caps Lock / 中/英 key to switch to and from last used Latin input source" so macOS does not intercept

Only the end of my paragraph converted
When you run Convert on a paragraph and then type additional words at the end of that same paragraph, UnimeType converts only the newly added words so your earlier text is not rewritten. To re-convert the entire paragraph, select the full paragraph first and trigger Convert.
Convert picked the wrong language on a short word
Open UnimeType Settings › Languages, turn off any conversion languages you do not actively use, and set your most frequent language as your Primary language so ambiguous single syllables resolve in your favor.
