Privacy Policy

Effective July 13, 2026

This policy explains how UnimeType processes information when you use the UnimeType app, custom keyboard, website, Unime Credits service, and related support channels.

1. When text leaves your device

Showing the UnimeType keyboard and pressing ordinary character keys do not, by themselves, start an AI request. A request starts when you choose Convert, Polish, or Explain. The request includes the text selected for that action, an instruction describing the action, the selected model, and the credential required by the route you chose.

Do not submit passwords, payment-card details, health information, or other information you do not want an AI provider to process. iOS normally replaces third-party keyboards with the system keyboard in secure text fields.

2. Information processed and why

The current app does not request access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or advertising identifier. The current client contains no advertising or third-party tracking SDK.

3. Unime Credits route

In Unime Credits mode, the action content and Unime card credential are sent over HTTPS to the Unime gateway. The gateway authenticates the card, routes the request to the model provider configured for the selected tier, returns the result, and meters point usage.

At the effective date, managed tiers may use Volcengine/Doubao or OpenRouter and its routed model provider. Provider availability can change. These providers process request data under their own terms and privacy policies. UnimeType does not authorize a provider to sell action content or use it for UnimeType advertising. We do not promise that every provider has the same retention settings, so review the linked provider policy before sending sensitive information.

4. BYOK route

In Bring Your Own Key mode, the keyboard sends the action content and your API key directly to the compatible Base URL saved in the app. The Unime gateway is not part of that request route. The provider you configure controls its own logging, retention, training, billing, and security practices. Review that provider’s terms and privacy policy before use.

5. App Store purchases

Apple processes payment details for in-app purchases. UnimeType does not receive your payment-card number. After a verified purchase, the app sends the App Store transaction identifier and, when you already have one, the current Unime card credential to the Unime gateway. The gateway checks the transaction with Apple and records the redemption so the same purchase cannot be credited twice. Apple’s handling of purchase data is described in App Store & Privacy.

6. Full Access and user choice

iOS Full Access lets the keyboard read its shared settings and make the network requests required by Convert, Polish, and Explain. It does not make every keystroke an AI request. Choosing one of those actions instructs UnimeType to process the current action text through the route selected in the app.

You can revoke Full Access in iOS Settings, switch between Unime Credits and BYOK, replace or clear credentials in the app, or stop using the AI actions.

7. Retention and deletion

Settings and credentials stored in the app group remain on your device until you replace or clear them, or the operating system removes the app data.

Unime Credits purchase, redemption, card, balance, usage, security, and support records are retained while needed to maintain an active balance, prevent duplicate crediting and fraud, handle refunds or disputes, secure the service, meet accounting or legal obligations, and provide requested support. The current service does not promise a fixed automatic deletion period.

Gateway infrastructure and model providers may retain technical records or request data under their own operational settings and policies. This policy does not make a zero-retention claim for the managed gateway, Apple, a managed model provider, or a BYOK provider.

To request deletion of UnimeType-managed records, email [email protected] with the Unime card identifier or App Store transaction identifier needed to locate the records. Do not email a BYOK API key. We may retain records required for transaction integrity, fraud prevention, disputes, accounting, or law. Deleting the record associated with an active card may disable its remaining balance; we will explain that effect before completing the request.

8. Security and international processing

UnimeType uses HTTPS for the network routes described above and limits managed-service access to the systems needed to provide purchases, routing, metering, security, and support. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Depending on the selected route and provider, information may be processed in a country or region different from yours.

9. Changes and contact

If the product’s data practices change, we will update this page and its effective date. Questions, access requests, and deletion requests can be sent to [email protected].
