01 / QUICKSTART

Start with a payment quote.

Run this command in a macOS or Linux terminal. It sends no payment and starts no model job. A 402 response is expected: it tells your client the amount, network, and recipient.

The PAYMENT-REQUIRED header contains the x402 V2 quote: 0.05 test USDC on Solana Devnet. Store the task ID and token if you continue the same task.

02 / X402 PROTOCOL

Automatic payment, within the buyer’s budget.

The browser trial asks you to confirm payment in your wallet. A programmatic buyer can pay automatically with an authorized signer and must check its per-call limit and cumulative budget before signing. Connecting a wallet does not send a payment.

  1. 01402 / quote

    Request a quote

Send text with a unique task ID and a private task token. The API returns the payment requirements.

  2. 02x402 / sign

    Authorize the payment

The buyer checks the price, recipient, and budget, then signs the x402 payment. The server settles it before starting the task.

  3. 03task / result

    Retrieve the result

An accepted task returns a task ID. Poll for its result using the same token; result requests do not create another payment.

The hosted API uses asynchronous jobs because a model cold start can take several minutes.

04 / FAQ

What is available today?

Can I use this API in production?

Not yet. Approved wallets can test payment and model calls on Solana Devnet. Mainnet billing is not open. Other wallets can get a quote without paying.

Which languages does the hosted API support?

This first API accepts Pinyin and targets Simplified Chinese. The underlying model has broader transliteration capabilities, but this hosted route does not expose other target languages. It does not provide translation or general chat.

What does one task cost?

The proposed price is 0.05 USDC per task, with at most 256 Unicode input characters and 512 output tokens. This is the current test quote, not an active mainnet offer. Confirmed task failures allow one free retry; another failure requires manual refund handling.

Will my wallet ask me to approve every call?

This browser trial asks you to confirm each payment in your wallet. A programmatic signer can authorize payments automatically within its spending policy. Production buyers should enforce limits in their signing service; separate local budget files do not share a cumulative limit.

Where does the submitted text go?

Cloudflare receives the request and Runpod runs the model. The current implementation stores task input, result, payment data, and a hash of the task token in Cloudflare D1. A retention period has not been set; do not submit sensitive text to this preview.
